Joan DeMadona

Joan DeMadona belonged to a GFWC General Women's Club in Connecticut prior to moving to the Four Corners area in Florida.

When she retired, she continued her passion for volunteering by joining GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman's Club at its inception in 2008. She is involved because she believes the possibilities are endless to volunteer in your own community and she truly enjoys connecting with other women.

As 1st Vice President, Joan’s responsibility includes Chairman of Membership. The goal of the club is to actively seek new members to help empower our membership of women to share in our commitment to volunteering in our community.

Kristine Duncan

Kris Duncan moved to central Florida in 2004 from a town and area where she was very active and involved in the community. She missed not having that opportunity in Central Florida and knew she wanted to quickly become involved in a local, volunteer organization.

When she discovered the newly formed GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman's Club in the paper in 2008, she couldn't wait to attend. The programs are informative, casual, educational and fun, and she soon-after met a great group of ladies from all walks of life.

Kris believes the GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman's Club has something for everyone. Whatever your passion is, can be fulfilled. She likes making a difference in the community and helping others.

Diane M. Schreiber

We moved to Florida 9 years ago from Amherst, New York a suburb of Buffalo. I was an Asst. Vice President with HSBC Bank USA, and retired after 30 years of service.

I have 2 sons, 3 stepsons, and 10 grandchildren. I enjoy reading, exercising, crafts, painting and music. We love to travel and visit our family, but have also been blessed to visit the Mediterranean, Alaska, and several of the Caribbean Islands.

I volunteer in my community as the Committee Chair for the Welcome Committee; I have volunteered at the Loughman Elementary School, and volunteer for the Newcomer Ministry at my church.

I really enjoy being an active member of the GFWC Four Corners Jr. Women’s Club.

Donna Tomko
Treasurer
Chair: Public Affairs

Donna Tomko moved to Florida in 2005 from Philadelphia, PA. She was employed for 23 years in the nuclear power industry and was able to retire early. At that time, she decided it was time to give back to her new community. When she found the GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman's Club — it was a perfect match.

She is passionate about animals, our military troops, and helping people in general.  She loves to meet new people and to make people laugh and feel good about themselves. She believes that anything is possible if you work hard and put your mind to it.....forever the optimist. Donna is definitely a glass-half-full type person.  What she loves most about the GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman's Club is the incredible women who perform amazing acts of altruism and charity.  Seeing what the power of this Club can accomplish continues to amaze her.
 
Donna thoroughly enjoys travel and among her favorite places are Tahiti, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic Her husband Marty, and doggie Frankie are the true loves of her life.

Libby Baker
Recording Secretary

Libby Baker joined the Board of Directors as the Recording Secretary in October of 2009. She truly enjoys participating in the GFWC Four Corner's Jr. Woman's Club as well as other volunteering opportunities. "It's a great way to meet wonderful gals and to finally have the time to give back. What goes around does comes around".

Originally from Minnesota, Libby spent fourteen years in New Hampshire owning and operating a Bed and Breakfast and Par 3 Golf Course.

Karen Knipling

Chair: Conservation

Karen Knipling has lived in the Central Florida area for about 30 years. She retired from Walt Disney World after 28 years of service. To fulfill her desire for charitable volunteer opportunities, she joined the GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman’s Club in 2009.

Karen is interested in theatre, cinema, dance, dining, tea parties, television, reading, and libraries. She is a member of the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre Guild. She remains close to her former coworkers and librarians at Disney.

Karen has an online business selling used books through Alibris.com. She spends leisure time with her husband, Al, and monitoring the college life of her daughter, Emily.
