Peace River Center
Peace River Center is a private, not-for-profit, community mental health organization. We have been providing Polk, Hardee and Highlands Counties in Florida with quality mental and behavioral health care services for over 60 years. With facilities across three counties, Peace River Center is equipped to offer a variety of treatment options to children and adults in many different settings. PRC is Accredited by The Joint Commission.

Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence (FCADV)
Florida has 42 certified domestic violence centers serving 67 counties. Because not all Florida cities served by domestic violence centers are listed below, you may also wish to try searching for your county to locate the domestic violence center that serves your area. To access the nearest domestic violence center by telephone, just dial 1-800-500-1119 and you will be connected to the domestic violence center nearest to you.

The GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs in an incredible resource center a variety of topics and issues. We're proud that GFWC is one of the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational, women’s volunteer service organizations.

AARDVARC.org
The organization was formed by former victims of relationship and family violence for the purposes of assisting others to find resources, receive guidance, and enjoy the support and empathy of others who have "been there, done that". We went from victims to advocates — leaving our abusive situations and going on to run battered women's shelters or to work as police officers, 911 dispatchers, victim advocates, or counselors.

National Coalition Against Domestic Violence
The Mission of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) is to organize for collective power by advancing transformative work, thinking and leadership of communities and individuals working to end the violence in our lives.

National Domestic Violence Hotline
Help is available to callers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hotline advocates are available for victims and anyone calling on their behalf to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals to agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Assistance is available in English and Spanish with access to more than 170 languages through interpreter services. If you or someone you know is frightened about something in your relationship, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
