This year, our 8th Annual Fashion Show and Expo will be held on January 20, 2017.
We raise money through events and activities of our members that is then donated to a number of agencies. We also provide local scholarships to young women in our area. We continue to focus on charities and agencies that serve the needs of women and children.
Last year, we held a charity fashion show with Chinese and silent auctions.
We have a number of relationships with other organizations and sometimes provide members to volunteer with their organizations. For instance, members have volunteered to assist at a fundraiser for the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village and to teach financial literacy to kindergarten children through Polk County Junior Achievement.
At meetings we may have speaker or a hands-on project. Before and after our business meeting you get a chance to meet with other women with similar interests in community service. At a meeting last year members decorated children's baseball caps for children with cancer at St. Jude's.
